Role Summary/Purpose

As the Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Engineer at GE Aviation you will be the site technical expert on EHS issues, providing input to site EHS/Facilities Business Leader and management. To initiate and influence EHS culture improvement and work as a team to integrate related EHS policy & practices into the business. He/she will work closely with his/her department and the operation team in risk controls, training, audit and incident/accident investigation.
Essential Responsibilities

The candidate will perform the roles as per listed in the regulation governing workplace safety and health officer & fire safety manager duties and support site in protecting the environment., These include but not limited to :-.
- Develop & implement EHS programs and procedures to ensure compliance with all applicable regulations
- Conduct risk assessment, training and audit
- Implement required corrective /preventive measures based on audit finding, root cause analysis and trending analysis
- Develop & implement tracking programs and record keeping systems and administer EHS compliance tracking program
- Work with process owners to evaluate new product introduction, equipment and chemicals to ensure risks are properly assess and control measures are in place prior to use on site
- Any assignments given by Global Aviation EHS/Security and OneEHS team.
Qualifications/Requirements

To be successful in this role, you would demonstrate and/or possess the following
- Must be registered Work Place Safety Manager and Fire Safety Manager with Ministry of Manpower Singapore (MOM)
- Degree or Diploma from local university or polytechnic
- Able to demonstrate at least 3-5 years experience in a similar capacity.
