Role Summary/Purpose

The Enterprise Application Engineer is responsible for crafting, developing and implementing programs/applications and providing support for cloud based systems. You will need to:
• Lead business expectations and measure organizational perception to drive focus and accountability.
• Solve business problems and build new capabilities through technology introduction and improvement
Essential Responsibilities

• Lead cloud information technology projects and initiatives with broad scope and high impact to the business or serve as a recognized guide in the specialized field.
• Develop deep technical understanding of current GE Power architectures, designs and provide strategic solution mentorship and delivery of next gen cloud solutions
• Provide technical architecture (application, data, network, cloud, hardware / system software) leadership in the deployment of applications in the cloud
• Maintain relationships across IM areas (such as automation and operations) to support effective implementations and production operation
Qualifications/Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college
• Prior experience crafting and building cloud solutions, a strong preference for Amazon Web Services or Microsoft Azure
• Minimum of 2 years of software engineering or system implementation experience
• Fluent in English
Desired Characteristics

• Coding experience with Bash, PowerShell, Jenkins or Ci/CD, Ruby, Python, NodeJS, Java
• Familiar with Agile project management
• Understnading in Operating Systems (Linux, Windows)
• Experienced in configuring and using applicaiton technologies (Apache, Tomcat, Jobss, Docker, Spring boot, etc.)
• Basic understanding of database systems e.g., Oracle, DB2, RDS, PostGres
• Demonstrated ability to work in a matrix organization structure
• Strong Communication skills
