Job Description Summary

As a Engineering Intern in the Mechanical Analysis Organization, you will work with the Engineering teams in the design, analysis aerospace turbomachinery systems. You will have opportunity to learn hands-on and contribute to development of creative and impactful technologies for improved aero engine components. This role will have a tenure of 6-9 months, enabling ownership and execution of a substantial and impactful assigned project.

Roles and Responsibilities:

In the GE Aerospace Engineering Internship, you will: 

·  Work on 1-2 engineering projects over 6-9 months in a discipline aligned to your expertise
·  Grow your technical expertise in your chosen field and expand your skills in new areas 
·  Collaborate with diverse teams to develop innovative technologies for GE Aerospace
·  Receive technical insights, mentorship, and coaching from world-class technologists
·  Share project progress internally and externally through presentations, written reports, and IP disclosure

Qualifications/Requirements:

·  Pursuing Master’s in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering
·  Strong fundamentals, domain knowledge and analytical skills
·  Execution mindset, self-driven with a sense of urgency
·  Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in a global team environment

Desired Characteristics:

·  Shown expertise in the fields of structural mechanics, FEM, Mechanical Design
·  Proficiency in simulation software (e.g. ANSYS, NX, HYPERMESH)
