Role Summary/Purpose
GE Aviation’s Engineering Co-op’s/Interns gain broad exposure to varied areas of the Aircraft Engine and Aviation systems business. With our co-op/intern rotational program, students will work in a different area and at a different GE Aviation site each co-op/intern rotation to ensure optimal learning and diverse work experiences. Our program goal is to prepare each student for a potential full time position when they graduate in one of our amazing leadership programs.
Essential Responsibilities

· Design/Development engineering roles include component design, analysis, development and testing, life mgmt., aerodynamics and thermodynamic design, performance, stress analysis, vibration analysis and engine tests. Most projects rely on PCs or workstations to utilize modeling techniques.
· Engine Services roles provide the unique experience of working hands-on with the engine components and component repair processes. Most projects require constant interaction with engineering and customer support staff.
· Manufacturing roles include cycle time reduction, product flow, workstation design and tooling, process improvement, quality, testing, material handling, environmental/health and safety,
· Materials roles provide opportunities to evaluate and characterize materials and processes for use in the aircraft engines and systems.

Qualifications/Requirements

· Must have a minimum of 3.0 GPA (without rounding)
· Meet required degree of Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace, Materials, Ceramics, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering major
· Attending a full time matriculated and nationally accredited baccalaureate or graduate program
· Completed on full year of college (rising sophomore)
· Our positions require access to export controlled information.
