Job Description Summary

The cold section design engineer will contribute to the design and development of products primarily for the engine’s structural parts across the Lynn site’s Turboprop/Turboshaft engine product lines in order to meet assigned objectives. Strategic thinking and planning is required to navigate through manufacturing support of the structures components. You will work within defined parameters to make decisions, apply concepts to issues of moderate complexity, and resolve issues through immediate action or short-term planning.

Roles and Responsibilities

· 
The design engineer of structural components will provide insight and knowledge into the manufacturing of hardware while creating strategic action plans for both the short term and long term producibility of said hardware.

· 
Execute the design, analysis, or evaluation of assigned projects using sound engineering principles and adhering to business standards, practices, procedures, and product / program requirements. This work would include mechanical and/or electrical engineering for all products

· 
Developing conceptual knowledge of professional discipline. May include support roles with specialized expertise or technical knowledge in broad area.

· 
Applies general knowledge of business developed through education or past experience. Understands how work of own team contributes to the area.

· 
Resolves issues using established procedures. Consults supervisor or more senior team members for issues outside of defined instructions/parameters.

· 
Collaborates with others to solve issues. For customer facing roles, develops strong customer relationships and serves as the interface between customer and GE. Exchanges technical information, asks questions and checks for understanding.

Required Qualifications

·  Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited university or college

The base pay range for this position is $ 82,800 - 103,500. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on a percentage of your base salary/ commission based on the plan. This posting is expected to close on January 13th, 2026.
