Role Summary/Purpose

Work as part of the Data Science team to deliver pipeline inspection data processing, analysis and reporting solutions. The role is focused on deriving Magnetic Flux Leakage (MFL) sizing model algorithms to provide, improve and simplify MFL tool Performance specifications.
Essential Responsibilities

·  Utilise signal processing techniques and Software tools to identify outlying data points and accurately measure magnetic signal parameters from machined defects.

·  Derive robust/accurate sizing model algorithms to predict detected defect dimensions and determine Performance specifications for detection and sizing.

·  Implementation of sizing model algorithms and vehicle configurations into Software architecture.

·  Support the Dig Verification process and any corrective actions from root cause analysis

·  Contribute to data science team algorithm development projects

·  Update relevant QA documents and DQA information

·  Update Oracle with System setting information for auto gain settings

·  Design database spools with appropriate machined defect classifications & dimensions to extend beyond contractual requirements

·  To provide advice on MFL tool builds and Performance specs to Sales/Commercial Operations.

·  Provide ongoing technical support and guidance to the Analysis and IE groups as required

·  Deliver client presentations as required
Qualifications/Requirements

·  Degree in Engineering, Science or equivalent technical discipline

·  Strong numerical skills used in an engineering context

·  Evidence of problem solving ability

·  Strong inter-personal and communication skills

·  Able to work unsupervised and as part of a team
