Role Summary/Purpose

The service analytics engineer is responsible for provide analytics solution to enable GE and airline customers to improve engine operations, durability and perform root cause investigation, by using data analytic with engineering and physics depth, and through collaboration with multiple functions and global sites.
Essential Responsibilities

- Solve the field issues impacting the Services and airline operations through analytics, in collaboration with colleagues in Data Science team.

- Identify the drivers for shop visit cost and the opportunities for shop cost reduction through analyzing the data collected from MRO shops and commercial team.

- Build and apply the predictive model like Cumulative Damage Model (CDM) and Distress Ranking Model (DRM) to deliver business impact.

- Provide timely communications on project significant issues or development status to key stakeholders.

- Participate as a presenter or reviewer in technical and program reviews.

Qualifications/Requirements

- Experience in Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) shop, and/or airline operations, and/or aircraft engine technology.

- Strong understanding of aero engine physics.

- Analytics capability, can understand and handle data.

- Proven track record in delivering results.

- Strong learning capability.

- Strong communication.

- inter-personal and presentation skills both in Chinese and English.

Desired Characteristics

- Project management skills.

- Data analytics experience.

- Coding capability, experience of Python.

- Six Sigma certified is desired.

- Team work skill id desired.
