For more than 15 years our manufacturing facilities in Grand Rapids have helped the growth and success of GE Aerospace. We're producing high quality electronics and avionics parts and equipment to exacting standards. These include Avionics Computing Systems, Mission Systems, Navigation and Guidance and Vehicle Health and Data Management products.The primary function of the job is the troubleshooting and repair of complex, automated, test equipment integrated with PCs and peripheral hardware that is used for product and software development, manufactured product acceptance, and for customer use. Tasks will also include periodic build of support equipment (test cables, interface assemblies, etc.).

Roles and Responsibilities:
Role Summary:
Troubleshoot and repair automated test equipment integrated with PC’s and peripheral hardware
Use electronic measurement equipment such as digital multi-meters, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and logic analyzers
Perform high quality terminal crimping, wire routing and lacing, soldering, and component mounting
Knowing and applying electrical safety standards for both assembly and end user operations (120V 60Hz to 220V, 400Hz three phase AC, up to 270 VDC, specialty power supplies)
Essential Responsibilities
In addition, you will:
Use basic hand tools and power tools such as punches and drill presses
Read and interpret engineering drawings, electronic schematics, and manufacturer's technical data
Identify and resolve design and/or process errors
Qualifications/Requirements
Working knowledge of both digital and analog electrical/electronic circuitry
Working knowledge of computer hardware and interconnect protocols
Work with minimum supervision as well as with engineering personnel
Work from general written and verbal instructions
Quickly learn new technologies
Eligibility Requirements:
Associate degree from an accredited college related to electronic technology or a High School Diploma / GED with the equivalent in documented work experience
Successfully complete a written assessment.
