Role Summary/Purpose

The Electrical Manufacturing Engineer will develop, evaluate, and improve manufacturing equipment, utilizing knowledge of product design, materials / parts, fabrication processes, tooling / production equipment capabilities, assembly methods, and quality control standards.
Essential Responsibilities

In the role of Electrical Manufacturing Engineer, you will:

·  Design, qualify, implement, and maintain calibration or test system (Labview or other) for US and International sites or vendors, working with senior engineers to develop and meet technical requirements.

·  Design and/or build tooling and test equipment for Automation Projects.

·  Support the day-to-day needs of a Production Cell or Key Process.

·  Trouble-shoot production issues (Printed Circuit Boards and Test Systems).

·  Improve documentation, test procedures, and lean out existing manufacturing processes.

·  Work closely with the design team to introduce and qualify new parts and software.

·  Document changes to existing processes and products.

·  Research, identify and order parts for test systems.

·  Identify and evaluate alternate parts for end of life components.

·  Work closely with the cross-functional to transfer new products from Engineering to Production, including floor layout, equipment requirements, test requirements, and manufacturing processes.
Qualifications/Requirements

·  Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical / Electronic / Computer / Software Engineering from an accredited college or university.

·  Minimum 3 years of experience in in manufacturing or operations
Desired Characteristics

·  Prior experience with Lean Manufacturing or equivalent quality manufacturing.

·  Six Sigma training or equivalent quality training.

·  Ability to analyze problems, identify root causes, and provide efficient solutions.

·  Basic LabView programming experience or background in other language (C, C++, VBA).

·  Working knowledge of DMMs, Oscilloscopes, and other test equipment.

·  Basic construction abilities (drilling, soldering, wiring).

·  Ability to read and follow instructions, (Assembly Drawings, Schematics, ISO procedures).

·  Excellent verbal and written communication skills for technical writing and procedure development.

·  Strong organizational skills.

·  Ability to handle diverse activities simultaneously.

·  Ability to work in a matrix organization.

·  Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.

·  Ability to communicate effectively and contribute to team projects.

·  Prior experience in supporting Manufacturing Operations, including equipment troubleshooting and maintenance.

·  Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with maintenance and shop floor personnel.

·  MS Excel, Word, PPT, Access database, Visio experience.
