Job Description Summary

Work with The GE Vernova Advanced Research EHS Leader on key initiatives aimed at improving performance and regulatory compliance.

Support the continuous improvement of the environmental, health, and safety function within the GE Vernova Advanced Research by assisting with task related risk assessments, employee exposure assessments, and EHS process improvement projects.

We forge the collaborations and help invent the technologies required to electrify and decarbonize for a zero-carbon future.
Representing virtually every major scientific and engineering discipline, our researchers are collaborating with GE Vernova’s businesses, the U.S. government, and more than 420 entities at the forefront of technology to execute on 150+ energy[1]focused projects. Job Description

Potential Responsibilities include:

·  Assist in implementing EHS policies and programs at ARC to assure that workplace conditions comply with regulatory and company requirements
·  Facilitate routine EHS inspections and incident investigations and work to implement corrective/preventive actions
·  Conduct EHS risk assessments of lab operations and ongoing construction and renovation activities, etc.
·  Review and update EHS training content and employee training profiles
·  Assist in development of EHS communications
·  Assist with the review and improvement of written EHS procedures and availability to ARC team members.

Qualifications:

·  Currently enrolled in university
·  Interest in Environmental, Health, and Safety employment opportunities
·  Ability to work independently and collaboratively in teams
·  Understanding of basic OSHA, EPA, and other EHS regulations
·  Excellent interpersonal skills with strong verbal and written skills
·  Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
·  Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills
·  Candidates must have authorization to work in the US. We will not provide visa sponsorship, now or in the future, for this position opportunity
·  Ability to prioritize and support multiple projects
·  Demonstrated leadership experiences that will translate to the professional work environment
·  Candidate must be willing to travel a minimum of 2 weeks per year
·  Must be 18 years or older
