GE Grid Automation unit in Walbrzych, Poland is an emerging and growing business in the field of protection relays, CCS and DCS solutions for distribution, transmission and industry sectors of energy market. The region in which we operate includes Poland, Czech and Slovak Republics, Hungary, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Ukraine, Moldova. We are dynamically introducing the digital substation technology with several success stories in the region behind.
We are now looking for candidates to strengthen our engineering team.
The main responsibilities for this position are:
· coordinate Cybersecurity design between multi-national teams (e.g. architecture, backup/restoration procedures, hardening, patch management, flow/traffic matrix)
· verify Cybersecurity solutions against Polish regulations and customer requirements,
· configure and test CyberSecurity solutions, incl. on-site tests,
· manage technical discussions between various project stakeholders to compromise the client’s requirements ver. feasibility,
· technical support for the project teams, as well as sales and tendering teams,
· deliver customer trainings (presentations, hands-on training),
Qualifications:
· Education:
· Technical High School Diploma or equivalent required – automation, IT systems, electrotechnical faculties being most relevant ones;
· Experience:
· network Security / Hardening, Whitelisting and Cybersecurity best practices,
· NIST Cybersecurity framework, NIS2 will be a plus,
· cybersecurity certification will be an advantage,
· industrial communication network and system security IEC 62443 standards will be a plus,
· configuring network devices, firewalls, routers, domain controllers, etc.
· network management protocols like SNMP,
· substation communication protocols, eg. IEC61850, DNP3, IEC60870-5-104/101/103, Modbus,
· acquaintance of Fortinet/Fortigate, Nozomi, Dragos, Acronis, Scribler, Splunk, KIWI,
· acquaintance of GE DCS systems e.g. DS Agile will be a plus
· experience with protection relays will be a plus,
· sound interpersonal skills to effectively interact with a diverse groups of clients, both external and internal;
· Specific knowledge:
· Native or fluent Polish;
· Languages:
· English to effectively communicate with multinational customers and other GE functions abroad;
· Ukrainian (Russian) will be considered a plus;
· Visibility of work requires attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and discretion with confidential information;
The position involves travelling to customers’ sites home and abroad ~50% of working time.
