Tasks
·
Tender Phase (ITO):
·
Coordinate costing and scheduling of commissioning activities
·
Define and implement the subcontracting strategy in alignment with EHS, Quality, Planning & Sourcing
·
Prepare tender documentation related to commissioning
·
Plan and organize temporary and permanent site infrastructure
·
Actively contribute to the project team from early development through completion
·
Execution Phase (OTR):
·
Responsible for staffing, mobilization and tracking of site commissioning teams
·
Prepare and align the commissioning schedule with internal and external stakeholders
·
Monitor progress, quality and EHS performance according to GE standards
·
Collaborate closely with the engineering office for timely delivery of technical data and documentation
·
Prepare and maintain commissioning documentation (ITPs, reports, non-conformance records)
·
Lead an international team of commissioning engineers on-site for HVDC projects
Candidate requirements
·
An appropriate qualification in Electrical Engineering with several years of work experience would be advantageous but equivalent experience in Commissioning Management is also feasible
·
Have appropriate health and safety experience, trainings and qualifications in line with international standards for roles of this nature to be able to identify and stop unsafe works.
·
Previous experience of undertaking the role of Commissioning Manager on a large Substation Project. Experience for project execution in Asia would be an advantage but is not essential.
·
Have previous experience in commissioning of key elements of the project including, but not limited to the following
·
HVDC valve system / High voltage switchgear (up to 400kV) /SCADA systems / Protection & Control /Grid connection interface works /Electrical HV safety rules & safe systems of work
·
Fluent in English, German would be a plus
·
Will be required to travel frequently across the region and Asia to various project sites with presence on site during execution phase.

Fit for offshore missions
·
Ability to work remotely but integrate with the GE’s wider team
·
Ability to communicate effectively and to accurately and concisely report both verbally and in writing
