Role Summary/Purpose
If you are looking to build a career in composites manufacturing, the CTT program is for you! The CTT is an entry-level manufacturing program consisting of rotation assignments that will enhance your business knowledge and technical + leadership skills.The program provides employees the opportunity to solve business critical problems while learning about the Composites Organization.
Essential Responsibilities
The Composites Technical Track program develops and positions future technical leaders within the Composites Organization through a series of customized rotational assignments focused on an array of core technical competencies surrounding ceramic and polymer matrix composite products. As a CTT, you will have the opportunity for exposure to several manufacturing environments including raw material and component fabrication, lean lab development, low-rate production and high-volume production.
There are a total of 6 locations included in the composites business: Huntsville, AL; Newark, DE; Batesville, MS; Asheville, NC; Cincinnati, OH; and San Marcos, TX.
ALL CTTs are required to be open to relocation to any of the sites listed above while on program.
In addition, the CTT candidate will:
· Participate in and complete three 18-month rotations across the composites business
· Learn world-class ceramic and polymer composites manufacturing technology
· Participate in business, technical, and leadership training with program members from other sites
· Plan and implement process-engineering activities for new product development and current products
· Work on multi-disciplinary teams to identify problems and root causes throughout the manufacturing process
· Develop and implement manufacturing solutions to improve product quality, increase capacity, and/or reduce lead-time
· Manufacture process development, process improvement, new product introduction, and quality
· Implement Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles
· Receive coaching and mentorship from composites manufacturing technical leaders
· Promote customer satisfaction and develop positive customer relationships
Qualifications/Requirements
· Bachelor of Science in Chemical, Ceramic, Mechanical, Fiber, Polymer, Materials, or Aerospace Engineering from an accredited college or university
· GPA greater than or equal to 3.0 - 4.0
