Role Summary/Purpose

The Manufacturing Engineer will provide technical support for our Chemical Vapor Deposition (CVD) processes in GE’s Ceramic Matrix Composite (CMC) business. Position requires understanding of concepts, methods and procedures of manufacturing operations.
Essential Responsibilities

In the role of Manufacturing Engineer, you will:

·  Safely and compliantly support uptime in manufacturing equipment
·  Support and lead equipment and technology projects that drive continuous improvement, production stability and overall equipment effectiveness (OEE)
·  Responsible for identifying production downtime root cause and implementing efficient and sustainable solutions / corrective actions
·  Responsible for executing work with minimal instruction and delivering business results
·  Proactively identify production and reliability improvement opportunity
·  Define and control production process including tooling and equipment
·  Execute routine analyses using vested methods and technologies
·  Work cross-functional with other businesses and support groups

Qualifications/Requirements

·  Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (Or a high school diploma / GED with a minimum of 4 years of experience in Manufacturing)

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENT(S):

·  Proficient in computer software (CAD, minitab, Excel)
·  Basic understanding of process control systems
·  Ability to influence others and lead team on projects
