Role Summary/Purpose

The Business Apprenticeship provides you with a nationally recognised qualification (NVQ) in Business Administration and experience in a wide range of business areas at a well-established, global aviation company including, Office Services, Quality Training, Environmental Health and Safety and Operations.

Essential Responsibilities

You will acquire the skills to succeed in a business environment such as customer service, time management, understanding business operations and processes, decision making, clerical and administrative duties, planning and facilitating. There will also be a focus on Digital Learning with core IT modules, digital projects and IT Qualifications to enable the digitalisation of our operations.

The three-year apprenticeship commences in September 2017 and is based at GE Aviation Wales, Nantgarw, Cardiff. Throughout the three years you will work in various areas of the business whilst simultaneously studying for your work based NVQ Level 2 and 3 and Essential Skills provided by Coleg y Cymoedd.

Key Skills:
• The Business Apprenticeships are demanding schemes which require ICT, communication, teamwork and problem solving skills.

Educational requirements:
• Requirements: 5 GCSE A-C grades (including Maths and English Language) or equivalent.
