Job Description Summary

(DOA).
Safety leader shall be experienced in systems engineering, a cross-functional engineering discipline centered on an approach, mindset, and process. All activities that consider both the business and the technical needs of the customers with the goal of providing a quality product that meets the users needs.
He/She shall be experienced in execution a robust process of design, creation, and optimization of systems, consisting of identification and quantification of system requirements, performance of design trade studies, selection and implementation of the best designs and verification that the design is properly integrated and executed. Process that proceeds from concept to production to operation.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • SMS system pillars.
  • Improving SMS measurability, track all metrics relevant to SMS.
  • Performing and/or supporting SMS concerns investigation and SMS risk assessment.
  • Monitoring Product Reliability.
  • Assuring that the improvements are introduced and verify their effectiveness.
  • Promote SMS principles.
  • Leading / coaching teams and training as an authority on technical matters relating to SMS, Part 21 and other legal requirements and advise on legal and normative requirements

Required Qualifications

  • Safety Management System experience in Aviation Engineering/Technology
  • This role requires significant experience in the Engineering/Technology & Product Safety. Knowledge level is comparable to a master's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma with relevant experience).
  • Mandatory English language
