Role Summary/Purpose

As the Lead Analyst you will demonstrate leadership in controllership processes for an area or business segment. Utilize experience or expertise to solve controllership problems, ensure accuracy of financials, implement and control for accuracy of new accounting standards, and have the ability to effect short-term and some long-term business goals.

Essential Responsibilities

• Translate specific financial-guidelines (GE, GAAP,IFRS, stat., etc.) into practical business solutions.
• Account for transactions in line with accounting policies.
• Complete quarterly reconciliations in accordance with accounting policies.
• Provide information to auditors, when requested.
• Use experience and knowledge of the line of business to investigate issues and propose appropriate adjustments, where required.
• Ensure the accuracy of the organization's financial results by recognizing and preventing misrepresentation, concealment, or omission of information.
• Complete appropriate financial process routines and controls that exist to ensure that any activities that may cause the misstatement of financial position are identified, suggest new controls where appropriate.
• Use knowledge of financial transactions and accounting to ensure reasonableness of finance-specific business metrics.
• Identify new accounting standards applicable to the business and develop appropriate implementation strategies.
• Work effectively with business leaders to proactively drive key initiatives to successful conclusion.

Desired profile

Qualifications/Requirements

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college in accounting or finance (or a high school diploma/GED or equivalent with proven years of experience in an accounting or finance role) or equivalent knowledge and experience
• Qualified Accountant with some years work experience in accounting or finance position.
