Role Summary/Purpose

The ARMO Tech - Assembly - will perform duties related to the disassembly, positioning, reassembly, testing and painting of moderate to highly complex equipment utilizing a combination of manual, pneumatic and hydraulic tools for fitting, adjusting and securing maneuvers providing service and refurbishment of wellhead equipment, frac stacks and rental tools and building new wellhead assemblies.
Essential Responsibilities

In the role of ARMO Tech - Assembly, you will:

·  Conduct all business-related tasks according to GE’s Spirit and Letter policies

·  Demonstrate an unwavering commitment to Environmental Health & Safety (EHS), GE Beliefs, Compliance, and Integrity policies

·  Maintain a safe, clean, and organized working environment

·  Be knowledgeable of Oracle, EBiz systems (EPims), and Microsoft Office

·  Have strong mechanical aptitude with an Oil & Gas background as well as the ability to use a wide range of mechanical tools and test equipment

·  Complete Risk Assessments prior to performing all operations and light to heavy weight material movements by means of cranes and lift trucks

·  Complete all required business training and process documentation, as required

·  Be responsible for ensuring facility equipment and tooling is accounted for, operating efficiently, and safely

·  Identify, report, and mitigate problems or hazardous conditions that occur during equipment dis-assembly, assembly and test set-up

·  Possess excellent Communication, Teamwork, and Collaborative Skills with team members and basic understanding of working to production schedules / plans

·  Ensure departmental compliance with all applicable quality, health, safety and environmental regulations

·  Participate and be actively engaged in quality and Lean-Six sigma improvement projects within your department

·  Understand the Non-Conformance process and assist in developing plans to reduce the Cost of Quality

·  Troubleshoot and perform minor maintenance on mechanical tooling & equipment

·  Complete required documentation with accurate information for routers, M documents and inspection reports

·  Perform Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) per engineering specifications

·  Identify, stamp and tag all parts per identification requirements and engineering specifications

·  Comply with all preservation requirements pertaining to rental tools and finished goods

·  Perform other related duties as assigned or indicated by management
Qualifications/Requirements

·  High School Diploma or GED from an accredited school or institution

·  Minimum 1 year of experience in mechanical test and assembly / disassembly or heavy equipment repair and maintenance

Eligibility Requirements:

·  Work overtime, weekends and holidays as required

·  Work in a constant pushing, pulling, lifting, stretching, bending and other physical activities

·  Be in the shop environment a minimum of 8 hours per day, primarily standing and sitting, as required

·  Lift objects weighing up to 50 lbs.

·  Be subjected to extreme heat for extended periods of time

·  Travel within the US to work at customer locations or other GE facilities as needed

·  Handle heavy parts and moving parts

·  Subjected to the following: extreme heat that could exceed 500 degrees, enclosed areas, heights, and awkward positions, exposure to eye injuries, noise, dust, burns, & arc flashes, exposure to high noise levels for long periods of time, as required

·  Work inside and outside, as required

·  Interpret drawings, prints, drawings and engineering specifications to perform moderately complex, repetitive disassembly and reassembly tasks of all pressure control equipment

·  Possess or obtain forklift operator license and certification to operate overhead cranes

·  Wear PPE or Personal Protective Equipment - Hearing and eye protection (safety equipment) must be used

·  Operate pneumatic and hydraulic torque tools

·  Comply with all applicable quality, health, safety, and environmental regulations and maintain good housekeeping in assigned work areas

·  Possess a valid driver’s license
Desired Characteristics

·  Minimum 3 years of experience in Operations / service center operation applications or minimum 5 years of total relevant operation experience

·  Strong knowledge of existing drilling and production surface wellhead equipment, frac equipment and rental tools

·  Team player

·  Ability to work un-directed per engineering specifications and inspect own work for integrity and quality

·  Ability to perform highly complex troubleshooting and repair of equipment

·  Ability to setup and run test operations on basic and moderately complex sub-assemblies and final assemblies following engineering drawings, parts specifications, assembly procedures and/or verbal instructions

·  Ability to perform hydro and nitrogen gas pressure testing and functional testing of product

·  Knowledgeable in good housekeeping requirements and all safety regulations

·  Basic math skills

·  Ability to read schematics

·  Mechanical aptitude

·  Familiarity with tools

·  Previous manufacturing / shop service center operations experience
