Role Summary/Purpose

The Operations Engineer will be a critical part of the support team that primarily develops and supports GE POWER’s Commercial CPQ application portfolio. This role will be responsible for working closely with application users, solutions architects and functional teams to provide application support that meets the needs of the business.
Essential Responsibilities

As an Operation Engineer, you will:

·  Responsible for taking ownership on support tickets from GE’s incident management system ServiceNow.

·  Responsible for activities relating to the evaluation, analysis, troubleshooting reported issues and escalate complex problem to appropriate support specialists.

·  Perform user account management and other defined service requests activities.

·  Partner with Development team and ensure detail understanding on release items of the sprint.

·  Coordinate with various source system support teams, architects to reproduce and resolve customer issues with necessary root cause analysis and fixes.

·  Ensure that all solutions are efficient and scalable.

·  Create/ Refine SOPs and identify additional opportunities to improve operational processes.

·  Optimize migration and integration activities following a DevOps model.

·  Drive customer communication during critical events and conduct retrospective meetings.

·  Drive the production support team to work issues to closure during peak hours focusing on maintaining high levels of availability and support.

·  Analyze the code on common documented application incident trends for Oracle CPQ and homegrown GE financial and proposal generation applications (workflow customization).

·  Improve our customers’ support experience with minimal guidance.

·  Collaborate with cross functional stakeholders.

·  Seek and leverage existing GE’s best-practices.

·  Ensure that the applications are delivered towards the businesses core purpose, consistent with GE’s core values while meeting all compliance standards and in support of the planned business growth and objectives.
Qualifications/Requirements

Basic Qualifications:

·  Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Information Technology (IT), Computer Science or related experience

·  Minimum 2+ years of professional experience supporting/developing on CPQ Platforms (i.e. Oracle Big Machines/Apttus/etc).

·  Minimum 3-7 years of experience preferred working on technical projects;

Eligibility Requirements:

·  Experience in supporting CPQ application portfolio.

·  High Energy & Self Motivated.

·  Ability to handle multiple tasks and work independently as well as in a team.

·  Strong business analysis and problem-solving skills.

·  Strong communications skills with proven ability to drive/facilitate Incident, Problem Management discussions.

·  Experience with ServiceNow for Operational and Release Activities.

·  Practical experience in modern software development methods (BDD, TDD, code reviews);

·  Quick learner and willing to keep up-to-date knowledge;

·  Self-motivated individual that can work in a fast paced, performance and quality driven environment;

·  Certifications with Oracle, Salesforce or Scrum alliance highly desirable.
