Role Summary/Purpose
We're looking for an AME Test Engineer to be responsible for hardware and software design, implementation, verification, validation and documentation of test systems. In this role you will be leading test system design and development for New Product Introduction process and Installed Base projects, as well as integrating Design for Test into products and assuring seamless and compliant test system releases.
Essential Responsibilities
· Lead test system development on national instruments based standard test platform for New Product Introductions, including concept, architecture, documentation, design, prototype, test, supplier interfaces, manufacturing introduction and service
· Responsible to identify hardware in test system and design product interface fixture needed to fulfill product test requirements
· Ensure early focus on manufacturability in NPI and/or Advanced Technology programs. Drive rigor in process capability assessment, test process layout, tooling and equipment development and QMS Design transfer execution
· Prepare and participate in / conduct formal design, code and hardware reviews
· Develop, document and execute test system Design History Files and verification / validation plans per global compliance requirements
· Decide between available design alternatives in accordance with applicable procedures and guidelines
· Select appropriate verification means in accordance with project plan
· Maintain and support existing test systems located at various sites
· Participate in continuous improvement activities by supporting the implementation of automated process, test system and product quality improvement initiatives. Recommend changes in procedures, design or tools
Provide knowledge of test equipment set-up, functional operation, and interconnect of related equipment.
Qualifications/Requirements
· Bachelor's Degree in science, technology, engineering or mathematics field or equivalent knowledge or experience
· Experience in automated functional test design and test development
· Experience in National Instruments software (Examples include Labview, LabWindows, Teststand)
· EU work permit

· Extensive working experience in National Instruments software (Labview, Teststand)
· Experience in developing test system documentation deliverables such as BOM, schematics, detailed design documents, qualification protocols, user manuals, etc.
· Demonstrated program or project management skills
· Strong problem solving abilities and capable of articulating specific technical topics or assignments
· Analytical skills and problem-solving skills
· Ability to work independently and to work effectively in a team environment
· Demonstrated ability to design and deliver systems that are modular, scalable, and customizable
· Pro-active team player
· Customer oriented
· Experience working in a highly regulated manufacturing environment (i.e. medical, aviation)
