The Aftersales Specialist will work cross-functionally and liaise with dispersed teams globally to ensure quality data is being captured through our Customer Relations Management (CRM) system and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems to ensure smooth running of operations.

To provide administrative and direct hands-on support in order to facilitate the repair / modification of goods returned to the business, either here in Stafford or in regional automation repair centres.

This role will impact Grid Automation’s customer satisfaction and product quality looking primarily after Return Material Authorisation (RMA) requests coming into the Stafford repair centre.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Be the point of contact for our internal customers when escalation or issue resolution is required.
  • Understand the vision of the organisation and align fully with team goals and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) driving the results of the team.
  • Identify and establish positive cross-departmental working relationships with key players and stakeholders in the organisation.
  • Liaise with global cross-functional teams to manage escalations for RMAs, technical queries and other points.
  • Inspection of RMAs upon receipt and booking in via ERP and CRM systems.
  • Managing relationships and liaising with third party component suppliers to drive positive results for the business.
  • Following material consumption backflush processes to maintain traceability and accuracy of commodities and components.
  • Dispatch of RMAs once work is complete using ERP and CRM systems.
  • Maintain and ensure data quality and continuity in CRM and ERP systems.
  • Raise Purchase requisitions when required via SAP ERP system.
  • Identify bottlenecks and constraints to drive continuous improvement actions.
  • Assist the Stafford Repairs Leader to simplify and optimise operations locally.
  • Carry out any other duties associated with the role.

Qualifications / Requirement

  • Understanding of Lean methodologies & tools.
  • An excellent team player who can integrate and work well within a diverse and inclusive team.
  • Exceptional proficiency with Microsoft Office suite to include Excel, Word, Outlook and Teams.
  • Experience of SAP or other relevant ERP systems.
  • A very good standard of aural and written communication and a demonstrated ability to interface directly with and influence customers positively is essential for success in this position.
  • Positive mindset and a can-do attitude towards overcoming obstacles or challenges, tenaciously driving these to completion to achieve KPIs.
  • Able to work in a dynamic and fast changing environment.
  • Ability to work on own initiative and to investigate solutions for complex problems is an essential trait for success in this position.
  • An open mind to learning new skills or stepping out of the confines of your role to support the business.
  • Industry-relevant experience in grid automation and protection & control disciplines is desired but not essential.
  • A working knowledge of Microsoft Visio would be advantageous but not essential.
  • A working knowledge of Salesforce CRM system would be advantageous but not essential.
