Role Summary/Purpose
Advanced Gas Turbine Repair Process Engineer will establish internal processes to safely ensure the repair of Gas Turbine components that meet compliance & project requirements. Drive continuous improvement across the product lines by owning project timelines, improving product quality & resolving technical/process issues. Lead & effectively interface with the Repair Department Engineering team, & other teams to complete projects to meet EHS, production, quality, cost savings, & timeline goals
Essential Responsibilities
· Work directly with the Repair Department Engineers to develop repair procedures.
· Integrate, develop methods and procedures, and qualify repair processes on HA Gas Turbine components throughout the Greenville Service Center.
· Develop robust processes across a variety of disciplines, including: welding, brazing, coating, machining, assembly, NDT, airflow, and other ancillary processes.
· Manage projects and continuous improvement efforts in accordance with plant metrics.
· Ensure all engineering designs and technical data meet customer CTQs and compliance requirements.
· Drive a robust training program for manufacturing processes, including the transfer of qualified processes to the respective repair cell.
· Develop, maintain, and improve process documentation.
· Implement, maintain and continuously improve 5S methodology in assigned areas; drive culture change
· Support other NPI/Repair programs through providing technical support around processes, quality and programs.
· Lead analytical and design activities using proven technologies and vested approaches and methods.
· Mentor others in area of expertise.
· Develop new solutions under guidance and/or in a team setting or based upon precedents in the organizations.
· Communicate across the function in area of expertise.
· Complete other duties as assigned.
Qualifications/Requirements
· Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 4 years of experience in Manufacturing).
· Minimum of 5 years of experience in Production Process and Equipment.
