Role Summary/Purpose

GEHC is seeking an Additive Manufacturing Technician in our Additive Manufacturing facility in Uppsala Sweden. The Additive Manufacturing Technician will have expertise in the running of additive manufacturing machinery and equipment. This role will be part of the Additive process team and network of Additive labs within GEHC and GE Additive Innovative Design and Advanced Manufacturing Technology Center.
Essential Responsibilities

AM Technician will directly support the Additive team within our AME organization. This team is chartered with bringing several additive manufacturing ideas from concept to the point where we are ready to do design transfer to production.

This is an exciting opportunity to work on new Additive technology development.
Set-up weekly AM builds and hands-on work with running the machines and post processing (powder removal) of manufactured parts. Be part of installing, developing and running new AM equipment. 

·  Set-up weekly additive manufacturing builds 
·  Hands-on work with running the machines and post processing (powder removal) of manufactured parts 
·  Be part of installing and running new AM equipment 
·  Develop new techniques for making the work more efficient 
·  Maintain and develop skills to be able to deliver what’s expected in the role 
·  To be able to plan and deliver on agreed tasks, report progress and deviation from plans 
·  Deliver other tasks from manager 
·  Deliver all tasks according to GEHC directive and guidelines
Qualifications/Requirements

·  Working experience with powder based Additive machine operation  
·  Basic knowledge and awareness of AM build preparations (like Magics) 
·  Demonstrated troubleshooting and structural way of working 
·  Ability to work independently and to interact as part of a team environment
Desired Characteristics

·  Degree in Additive manufacturing (or equivalent knowledge/experience)
·  Product and process development experience 
·  Experience in running EOS and Concept Laser machines 
·  Basic Knowledge of 3D modeling and CAD systems
·  Demonstrated strong communication skills (written and verbal) 
·  Experience working with global teams
