Main Mission
Gemalto is a world leader in the provision of national identity management and biometric systems for both civilian and law enforcement applications. As a Solution Manager of the P&SD team in Gemalto's Government Business Unit, you will be accountable for constructing compelling, cost effective solution offers that meet or exceed each customer's needs, including the associated “cost structure”. You will work with the sales and technical teams in order to build the most appropriate technical solutions including hardware, software and implementation plans. Your work directly contributes to maximizing the business unit's solutions turnover and profit margin.
Main Responsibilities

You drive the definition of solutions for prospects and customers. You guide the technological and architectural choices for solutions, taking into account the optimum balance of performance, scalability, support, security and cost.

During the pre-bid phase, you understand customer requirements and lead technical consulting and support to define the solution,
·
You organize technical lobbying through customer/partners technical meetings, workshops and solutions presentation
·
You strengthen and foster the relationship with third party suppliers and validate technical Partners capability where needed.

During the bid process, you lead the technical answer and cost structure for the proposed technical solutions,
·
You lead Proof-Of-Concept (POC) solutions and demos related to the identified opportunity, either in pre-bid phase or during tenders
·
You participate actively to pre-sales activity in the area, strengthening Gemalto's credibility
·
You work with the programme management office to provide workload estimates and milestones for resource planning purposes
·
You contribute to business development for new technical solutions or services
·
You are responsible for the “Engagement Review” to ensure a clear transfer of responsibility to the Delivery teams for won contracts (Project Management, Technical Leads, Service Management and finance)

Mobile for frequent traveling within EMEA.

Desired profile
Qualifications :
ducation
· 2:1 Degree or Equivalent in IT, Engineering, or related discipline
and/or
· Significant relevant industry experience and qualifications

Experience Level:
Minimum 2 years working in development teams or technical consulting
2 years Technical Project Management experience in large scale systems delivery, ideally identity management related. Alternatively technical leadership of systems delivery (e.g. lead architect or systems engineer).
Complementary background in one of the following fields: consulting, solutions architecture, technical pre-sales ideally in the field of identity management (biometrics is beneficial).
Other:
Ideally you will hold existing national security clearance or be able to gain clearance in line with the criteria.
