Datacard machine operator for ST

A week in the life of

- The purpose of this job description is the operation and control of the production machine;
- Ensures production is performing as expected to produce quality products;
- Operate a variety of equipment and machine tools as well as monitor quality;
- Operate production machine(s) to production and quality standards;
- Monitor the quality and quantities at all times during production;
- Record all production through documentation of all inputs & outputs of equipment;
- Select and open the correct data files for printing on base stock;
Adhere to the machine procedures and instructions at all times;
- Perform start-up maintenance on a daily basis;
- Perform ad-hoc duties as required.
- Ensure that reasons for waste are adequately explained;
Stop production 30minutes before end of shift to balance jobs, cleaning of machines & house keeping
- Ensure no cards are left in, on, under or around the equipment;
- AD-HOC assignments given by management from time to time.

Desired profile

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

- Matric/ Grade 12 / N3
- Windows, Excel & MS Word
- Good numeracy and time keeping
- Minimum 1 year work experience on card equipment
- Shift work.
