Crypto internship
Interested in Cybersecurity? Want to learn more about protection features against security threats? We are hiring a part-time intern in our Advanced Cryptography team.

Our future intern will be engaged in security analysis of hash-based signatures (post-quantum cryptography). The main activities will be focused on securing public key cryptographic algorithms against quantum computer attacks. Post-quantum cryptography tries to design algorithms that are secure against an attack executed on a quantum computer.

This is a one year internship, which also can be part of your Bachelor/Master Thesis. The part-time employment can be flexible according to your studies and other activities.

Desired profile

Qualifications :

A WEEK IN THE LIFE OF A CRYPTO INTERNSHIP:
·  Study the state of the art of hash-based signatures
·  Reuse hash-based functions to get post-quantum cryptography
·  Focus on the submissions in this domain and analyze their security
·  Study and implement mathematical analysis including security proofs and cryptanalysis
·  Learn more about implementation attacks including fault analysis and side-channel leakages
·  Develop possible improvements of existing schemes in combination with other branches
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
·  You need to be a Bachelor or Master student ideally in Software, Computer Science or Business IT.
·  You must have very good level of English (daily communication)
·  We are looking for someone with a strong mathematical background, cryptography knowledge is an advantage
·  We are looking for someone who is active and committed
