ASSISTANT POWER INTRADAY ANALYST

Entreprise:
GDF SUEZ is developing market analysis about power intraday markets to support trading and portfolio management activities.
Poste et missions:
The analyst team is looking for a VIE in Brussels to:
- Develop the group expertise in power intraday market analysis (Germany, The Netherlands, France and Belgium)
- Develop recurrent reports to analyze market evolution and estimate the possible developments.
- Develop data bases
- Implement statistical, econometric and/or supply/demand models
- Apply analysis to support intraday traders and advice on positions
The VIE will be located in Brussels where he will work with the team «Market Modeling & Market View» responsible of market analyses for Energy Management & Trading. He will as well work directly with intraday traders.
Profil:
BAC +5 with some knowledge of Statistics / Operation Research/ Finance / Financial Mathematics / Economy
Knowledge of energy markets and more specifically electricity is a plus
In depth knowledge of Excel & VBA; statistical/econometric software; Python, matlab or sql is a plus
Fluent English; Motivated, autonomous, like to take initiatives.
