Job description
Do you have the passion to maintain high standards of treatment? Can you help provide an outstanding patient experience? Do you want to keep on learning, developing and building your skills?
We’re looking for a Dialysis Assistant to work closely with nurses and other medical staff in multi-disciplinary teams in our Dialysis Centres. Looking after individual patients, you will prepare equipment for treatment, monitor vital signs and assess, clean and redress catheter sites as required. You will ensure that equipment is kept clean and supplies are well-stocked, safely stored and used efficiently, while also keeping documentation up-to-date and administering medication when required.
Working under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, you will enjoy plenty of training, learning opportunities and development. You will also have lots of contact with patients, their relatives and other visitors to the centre- so you need to be helpful, tactful and committed to a really high standard of patient care. A HealthCare specific, NVQ Level 3 is essential, preferably with experience of working in a haemodialysis unit. Meticulous, methodical and conscientious, you will be comfortable following rigorous procedures and meeting exacting company standards.
Making a difference to patient’s lives is why we’re here. As a world leader in renal care, Fresenius offers dedicated, patient centred environments where quality care and the latest technology provide a supportive, modern patient experience.
This is a full time role working 150 hours over a 4 week period or about 37.5 hours per week. Days are Monday to Saturday and covering various shifts between 6.30am to 11.30pm. (Monday, Wednesday and Friday: 06.30 - 23.30. Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday: 06.30 - 18.30).
As an employer, we’re keen to look after our people with as much dedication as they look after our patients. That’s why we offer competitive salaries, excellent training and exceptional career prospects. We’re a growing and ambitious company, so there is huge potential here to develop with us and enjoy fantastic rewards in your career.
