Footy Blog are offering a few students the chance of participating in a virtual internship in social media management, where you'll be responsible for helping with the day-to-day management of their key social media channels.
As one of the biggest football resources in the United Kingdom, Footy Blog are looking to expand their social reach by building a group of targeted, engaged followers, as a way of amplifying the brand's reach online. Up until now the focus of the blog has been on building an engaged audience through quality football news, funny content and videos, so now the focus will be on combining this with social media.
To be eligible for this internship opportunity, you simply need to be a big football fan and to know your likes from your hashtags. We want somebody who knows how to make the most out of social media to get their voice heard, and which are capable of putting together a strategy for some of the key social channels.
As part of this internship you'll be able to build up a range of key skills as well as having the opportunity to learn about other relevant elements of online marketing, including search engine optimisation and blogging. At the end of the internship you should leave equipped with a greater understanding of online marketing, as well as having key experience to add to your portfolio.
If you'd like to become a part of Footy Blog and to help grow the brand's following across their social media channels, just send a message with the title Social Media internship. Please include a few lines about yourself, and reasons as to why you think you're suitable for this role. It'd be great if you can link to your own social media profiles too, or any that you've worked on before.
