Overview
Summary of the job
The Income Tax Accounting & Reporting Specialist is responsible for cash tax forecasting and Corporate Income Tax (“CIT”) payments, maintaining the tax accounts and supporting the European corporate tax team (consisting of 4 members including the Income Tax Accounting & Reporting Specialist) with the CIT compliance for all European and Asian legal entities in over 20 countries within the Foot Locker Europe Group.
Responsibilities
Tasks and Responsibilities
· Timely tax payment, forecasting and tracking
· Maintain the tax accounts in the general ledger system in a timely, accurate and high-quality manner
· Prepare monthly account reconciliations
· Keeping track of deadlines for various income tax filings
· Assist with local country withholding tax obligations (e.g. obtain certificates, process payments, liaise with stakeholders, etc.)
· Preparing journal entries for various tax processes (e.g. transfer pricing adjustments, tax account maintenance, US GAAP tax provision)
· Support the Senior Manager with:
· The tax compliance process:
· timely and accurate local country CIT / trade tax compliance, including return-to-provision reconciliation and assessment reviews
· 3rd party preparation of corporate income tax return
· Preparation of tax calculations for local GAAP financial statements
· Gathering information for various tax processes
Qualifications
Candidate Profile
· High potential, holding at minimum a bachelor’s degree in Tax
· Maximum of 3 years of work experience in an in-house corporate tax department or consultancy firm (Big 4 preferred)
· Advanced Excel skills
· Strong accounting skills
· Strong communication skills
· Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret various types of financial information
· A team player with a service-oriented attitude
· Ability to work in coordination with Finance and Accounting
· Effective time management
· Fluent in English, another EU language is a plus
