Overview

We are seeking an experienced and innovative Sr Manager to the Automation, Cloud, and Edge Networking team to lead a dynamic group responsible for designing, implementing, and managing network solutions across cloud, edge, and Content Delivery Network (CDN) with a focus on automation. This role requires a forward-thinking leader with expertise in modern networking technologies, a strategic mindset, and strong people-leader skills. The ideal candidate will drive the adoption of scalable, secure, and efficient networking solutions to meet evolving business needs while fostering a collaborative and high-performance team environment.

Responsibilities

·  Champion network automation efforts to improve efficiency, reduce errors, and accelerate deployments.
·  Guide the use of tools such as Ansible, Python, or other automation frameworks to manage network infrastructure.
·  Establish processes for continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) for network configurations and updates.
·  Maintains staff by recruiting, selecting, mentoring, and growing employees; maintaining a safe and secure work environment; developing personal growth opportunities.
·  Maintains organization's effectiveness and efficiency by defining, delivering, and supporting strategic plans for implementing information technologies.
·  Lead the implementation of edge computing solutions to optimize latency, performance, and bandwidth usage.
·  Design and manage edge infrastructure for distributed environments, ensuring scalability and reliability.
·  Collaborate with IoT teams or other stakeholders to support edge-based applications and services.
·  Technical leadership in resolving ongoing problems; be engaged in pursuing permanent solutions to address ongoing issues.
·  Ensure the design, deployment, and management of secure, scalable, and efficient cloud network solutions (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
·  Oversee hybrid networking strategies to seamlessly integrate on-premises and cloud environments.
·  Establish best practices for cloud connectivity, security, and cost optimization. Participate in the Architecture and Security Review Boards to ensure that all technologies being implemented follow Infrastructure’s standards and best practices.
·  Manages team members across technology practice areas, including the organization of meetings and the supervision of practice area documentation, tasks, and workload both personally and of other group members.
·  Responsible for documentation standards and adherence for multiple technology areas.
·  Responsible for Platform Engineering project portfolio, which includes driving initiatives, and in some scenarios setting and meeting milestones, managing tasks, and communicating status and updates to stake holders.
·  Contributes to financial processes such as capital and expense budgeting. 
·  Maintains quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards and procedures.  
·  Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending and leading practice areas and Centers of Excellence; reviewing and evaluating new technologies; establishing personal networks within the IT organization.
·  Build and grow alignment with other IT and functional teams. It is critical to promote synergy with areas of the business that seek Platform services.
Qualifications

·  Management or lead experience in implementing, operating, and maintaining infrastructure for large enterprise networks.
·  Communication and Leadership skills to drive technology focused groups to successful outcomes.
·  Strong experience working in IT organizations with rigorous ITSM processes and Change Control
·  Solid understanding of agile methodologies working in small teams, Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery
·  Strong verbal and written communication, both in a manner that contributes to a positive experience for all involved. Should be capable of presenting to audiences at various levels of the organization.  
·  A bachelor’s degree and Network Leadership. 
·  Strong background in IT process and procedure management 
·  Prior experience working within relevant IT areas. 
·  Some development knowledge related to process tools and platforms is preferred (i.e., ServiceNow, Jira, etc.) 
·  Experience with Project Management and Service Management 
·  Customer Service oriented with adaptability to changes in priorities or operational process. 
·  Proven ability to manage multiple large-scale initiatives in conjunction with daily activities. 
Benefits

The annual base salary range is $115,000 -$160,000. This range represents the anticipated low and high end of the salary for this position. This role is also eligible to receive short term incentives that align with individual and company performance. Salary will be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data. Salary is one component of the Foot Locker, Inc. total compensation package, which includes the below.
