Financial Analyst – IT Finance (Remote)

Overview

Foot Locker is seeking a talented finance and accounting professional (Financial Analyst) in the Information Technology Financial Planning department. The Financial Analyst is required to be a critical thinker, detail oriented with the ability to provide support in a fast paced environment. The successful candidate will quickly assume responsibility for invoice auditing, accounting, financial analysis, forecasting, asset management and financial reporting for Corporate IS&T and divisional expense management. The Financial Analyst will regularly interact with the technical management team and the Director, IT Finance.

Responsibilities

• Provide financial budgeting, forecasting and analysis for both corporate and divisional Information Technology expense
• Responsible for reviewing, auditing, and coding IT invoices
• Work with vendors directly to resolve any invoice or payment issues
• Facilitate the asset roll outs and write offs
• Provide general accounting and analytical support to IT directors and managers
• Prepare regular and ad hoc reports and financial schedules for management
• Prepare variance analysis and reconciliation on IT spend
• Create and process accounting entries in accordance with GAAP and the internal accounting policy to ensure IT related expenses are accounted for properly each month
• Create and maintain amortization schedules based off price and length of contracts
• Meet regularly with IT financial manager and technical partners to review project status and provide financial guidance as necessary
• Update and maintain hardware and software records to align with financial asset reporting

Qualifications

• Prior finance and/or accounting experience preferred
• Bachelor’s degree in a Business Finance or accounting preferred
• 1-3+ years related experience preferred
• Ability to function effectively and efficiently under pressure to meet Financial deadlines
• Strong inter-personal skills to work with all levels of management and a diverse team
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
• Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong organizational and time management skills

 

Benefits

The annual base salary range is $60000 - 65000 / year. This range represents the anticipated low and high end of the salary for this position. Salary will be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data. Salary is one component of the Foot Locker, Inc. total compensation package, which includes the below.
