Overview
As a Transportation Engineer at Foot Locker, you’ll help shape the future of logistics across EMEA. From our new state-of-the-art Distribution Center (DC) in Haps, we will supply all our stores and handle our e-commerce orders. You will play an important role in ensuring smooth transportation out of our new DC in Haps — identifying improvements, implementing new carriers and delivery options, and using data to guide every decision. Responsibilities
· Support the start-up of transportation and ongoing optimization out of the new DC in Haps.
· Analyze B2B and B2C transportation flows and carrier performance across EMEA.
· Lead the implementation of new carriers and delivery services.
· Use data insights to improve service quality and operational efficiency and cost optimizations.
· Maintain carrier databases, contracts, rates, SLA's and SOP's.
· Coordinate transportation projects like market researches and tenders.
· Manage escalations, claims, and issue resolution with carrier partners.
· Collaborating with Helpdesk, Supply Chain, Finance, IT, and Customer Service to align strategies.
· Provide input to budget cycles and support broader logistics initiatives.
· Assist in day-to-day activities of the Transportation team where needed.

Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree (HBO level) in Logistics, Supply Chain, or a related field.
· 1–3 years of experience in transportation, logistics, or carrier operations.
· Strong analytical and reporting skills, experience with Power BI is a plus.
· Organized and detail-oriented, with a proactive problem-solving mindset.
· Strong communicator with a collaborative approach — no silo mentality.
· Comfortable working in a fast-paced, changing and international environment.
· Fluent in English and Dutch (written and spoken).
