Job description

Overview

Foot Locker is moving fast and so is our supply chain. With the opening of our new, state-of-the-art Distribution Center (DC) in Haps, we’re setting up the future of our logistics across EMEA.
We’re looking for a Transportation Engineer who’s ready to roll up their sleeves, work smart with data, and help make sure our stores and customers get what they need, when they need it with optimal services for the right price.

This is a hands-on role with a lot of visibility, ideal for someone who enjoys making things better every day working together with multiple teams, and seeing the impact of their work.

Responsibilities

• Optimize transportation flows from our new DC - focusing on service quality, operational efficiency, and cost management.

• Manage and grow relationships with our carriers, from onboarding new partners to tracking performance and making sure contracts, SLAs, and processes are on point.

• Use data to drive improvements - analyzing flows and carrier results (B2B and B2C), spotting trends, and helping us make better decisions every day.

Other things you'll work on:

• Support logistics projects like tenders, new delivery options, and market researches to keep us moving forward.

• Collaborate with teams like Supply Chain, Finance, IT, Helpdesk, and Customer Service to keep transportation aligned with the bigger picture.

• Contribute to budgeting and reporting, helping us keep a close eye on performance and costs.

• Jump in where needed to support the broader Transportation team and make sure everything runs smoothly.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s degree (HBO level) in Logistics, Supply Chain, or something similar.

• 1–3 years of experience in transportation, logistics, or working with carriers.

• Strong analytical skills and a head for numbers; experience with Power BI is a plus.

• An organized, hands-on, and proactive way of working.

• Good communication skills and a collaborative mindset, you'll be the bridge between different teams.

• You’re fluent in English and Dutch, both written and spoken.

• You’re comfortable in a fast-moving, international environment where change is part of the game.

Benefits

·  Recognition, inclusion and belonging in a diverse environment.
·  25 holidays and flexible working (hybrid position, in office 3 days p/w).
·  Employee Discount on in-store and online products.
·  Casual Sneaker Culture.
·  Learning & Health/Wellbeing programs.
·  Career development and growth in an ambitious international team.
·  Travel reimbursement.
·  Pension Plan.
·  Discounted Collective Health plans.
·  Activities organized by our Social Committee.
