Overview

As a Data Scientist at Foot Locker Inc., you will develop and implement machine learning models, analyze large datasets, and provide actionable insights to improve business performance. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to translate business challenges into data-driven solutions.

Responsibilities

·  Experience in designing, building, evaluating and supporting advanced predictive and prescriptive models, by using ARIMA, LightGBM, Tensorflow and
·  Previous experience with optimization techniques such as Linear Programming and Knapsack
·  Ability to use advanced feature engineering, model optimization and explanation techniques.
·  Experience in managing/tuning third-party vendors predictive models
·  Deploy and automate models into production environments and monitor their effectiveness and continuous tune to improve performance. Airflow experience a plus.
·  Work with stakeholders to define business problems and translate them into data science solutions.
·  Build and automate interactive dashboards and reports for real-time decision-making.
·  Document methodologies and ensure reproducibility of data science projects.
·  Research and prototype emerging tools (e.g., GenAI, Agentic actions,etc). Stay up to date with advancements in AI, machine learning, and data science.
Qualifications

·  Bachelor's degree in data science, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
·  3+ years of experience in data science, machine learning, and data analytics.
·  Strong programming skills in Python, R, or SQL with experience in libraries like Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch.
·  Experience with Databricks and Snowflake architectures; Data wrangling and ETL pipelines using tools like Pandas, Spark, or Airflow.
·  Solid understanding of statistical modeling, hypothesis testing, and A/B testing.
·  Ability to communicate findings and recommendations to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Benefits

The annual base salary range is $90000-$125000. This range represents the anticipated low and high end of the salary for this position. Salary will be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data. Salary is one component of the Foot Locker, Inc. total compensation package, which includes the below.
