We have a fantastic opportunity for a Category Assistant Buyer who is able to operate in a fast moving, exciting and developing environment.

As a Category Assistant Buyer based in Manchester you will provide full administrative support on a range of key buying related tasks within the category for the Category Buyer/Category Buying Manager. This will help to develop the best possible range(s) and customer service in order to support Findel Education to become the 'Best in Class’, number one choice supplier within the educational resources market.

Key tasks are:

Preparing a range and sub-range to be analysed by the Category Buyer to identify growing trends and sales performance, by overall section and sub-section, across brands for future catalogue development or short term marketing programmes.
To attend Trade Fairs and supplier meetings with the Category Buyer/Category Buying Manager
To liaise with Suppliers to accurately manage; sample deliveries and storage, new product details forms, test certificates, packaging specifications and substitute products
To provide a quality and timely response to queries from various functions within the business ensuring great customer service on resolution
To proactively manage the photographic process if required from ensuring samples are correctly labelled to attending briefs and shoots as required
To assist the Category Buyer in preparing for commercial negotiations relating to cost pricing, sell pricing and key trading terms
