Events & Marketing Management Internship
Film Daily
Monthly Stipend
20 - 40 hours per week
Temp-to-perm contract; 3 months min.

Film Daily is a new online platform connecting audiences with indie filmmakers via news, views, and reviews.

We are a scrappy new media startup aiming to disrupt the film distribution and production industries. We work with amazing, storied clients and new emerging technologies & agencies.

You will learn to:
Design, plan, and launch events
Create relationships with stakeholders & vendors
Create & maintain contact databases
Maintain relationships with event management aggregator products
Work with the social media team to promote events
Maintain relationships with sponsors & advertisers
Manage a team of volunteers
Assist with other duties in an ad-hoc fashion
Communicate with shortlisted entrants
Manage online presence
Announce call to entries via website & social media
Create partnership opportunities with education institutions
Produce P&L budgets and bookkeeping for events
Manage a community of filmmakers
Collate feedback on events
Create reports with suggestions to improve future events

Position Requirements
Working knowledge of Google & Microsoft Office products
Working knowledge of Excel & Google Sheets
Working knowledge of social media & forums
Love of independent film
Working laptop
Experience working in an office environment
Typing speeds of 35 WPM or higher
Excellent reading & listening skills
Ability to use forums, message boards, and Facebook Groups

Education
You will ideally have studied events management, marketing, or the arts
