Junior Strategic Analyst in M&A and Business Development - (BU-JB-01.9)

Job description

Ferrero Luxembourg is currently looking for an outstanding Junior Strategic Analyst in M&A and Business Development.

The candidate operates in situations frequently requiring adaptation or development of new solutions through analytical, interpretative, evaluative, creative and innovative thinking, with a medium amount of guidance.
Main activities are:

- Business Strategy: understand the key elements of the business strategy and how they interact together, identification of the value creation drivers, scenario and business analysis (industry, markets and main operator’s trends) to put in correlation with the company performances.
Contribute to the definition of the company business strategy after the “buy” operation
Working also with business modelling, market analysis and benchmarking       
- Strategic planning and P&L management: critical analysis of the strategic plan and relative main levers and building blocks. P&L analysis both in the commercial and industrial environment       
- Business development: contribute in the identification and analysis of the “non-organic” business development opportunities       
- Project Management: lead or participate in the assigned projects/stream (mainly in the transaction, due diligence and pre integration phase)

Main requirements

- Bachelor/Master degree in economics, management field, MBA will be a plus    
- 3-5 years working experience, preferably in a strategy team (in consulting or in a big company)    
- Experience in business strategy definition, business case creation and scenario simulation    
- Solid analytical background and attention to details    
- Solid finance knowledge (i.e. P&L analysis, analysis by index, ROI, VAN, NPV…)    
- Solid P&L management capabilities (commercial and industrial)    
- Knowledge on the main business processes in the FMCG and ability to work cross functionally    
- Entrepreneurial skills, deep project/consulting skills as well as excellent interpersonal and communication skills.    
- Fluent spoken & written English, another language in addition would be advantageous (Italian as a plus)    
- Very good knowledge of Office (Excel and PowerPoint in particular)    
- Availability for travel    
- Project management experience    
- High motivation and commitment
