Competitive Salary
Permanent, Full Time – 40 hours per week

What you’ll need
• A valid Class 2 LGV licence.
• A valid digital tachograph card.
• Must have completed 35 hours Drivers CPC.
• Must be physically fit due to the nature of the work.
• Must be reliable and trustworthy and able to carry out clear instructions properly.
• The ability to take charge of a team and use own initiative.
• Previous experience in a similar is desirable although full training will be given.
• Knowledge of the area would be advantageous but not essential.
• Flexibility is also a key aspect of this job.

About the role
As a Recycling Driver/Loader reporting to the Refuse Supervisor you will collect recycling in green boxes as part of a team either as a driver or loader.
Your other responsibilities will include:
• Driving a recycling vehicle up to 18 tonne gross vehicle weight rigid.
• Carrying out vehicle checks
• Being in charge of all paperwork and reporting all incidences on the rounds.
• Being in charge of a crew of up to three loaders.
• Collecting and sorting green boxes when required.
• The collection of various wastes, including refuse, paper/card, compost, glass, cans and plastic and anything else of a similar nature.
• Collections will be loose, in wheel bins and plastic sacks. This will be taken to various tipping points throughout the district.
