Our Faurecia Emission Control Technologies Division is looking for a V.I.E Material Laboratory Engineer (H/F) for its Global Engineering Center based at Columbus, IN (USA).
The Material Engineer is responsible for the application and development of material lab testing standards in order to better characterize materials/processes used to manufacture emissions control technologies.
He / She works closely with Material/Product/Process Expert(s) to take part to the continuous improvement of Engineering Performance.
The main missions of the role are to:
Specify and schedule lab testing programs to answer to requests coming from internal customers (Program Development Leaders or Specialists).
Conduct tests and analyses in the material lab in order to provide results on time and in compliance with specified requests.
Communicate tests/analyses results to the project team, the customer or the supplier.
Take part to Innovation/Metier/Development Programs and support the teams for the selection of materials (new programs).
Take part to some tasks of the laboratory management (maintenance, calibration, continuous improvement and reporting processes).
Capitalize knowledge from laboratory results (database implementation, lessons learned, creation/update of specifications).
Be involved on the FECT (Faurecia Emission Control Technologies) Global Materials Expertise Network.
This VIE will start as soon as possible for 18 months.
The ideal candidate will have/be:
Fluent in English
Master Degree in Material Science/Engineering
Have good knowledge about material characterization technologies and standards
Have good knowledge about stainless steel properties
Have good knowledge about corrosion
Team player with strong communication skills & international mindset
