Our Faurecia Automotive Seating (FAS) Division is looking for a VIE
- Innovation Engineer for its R&D Center in Yokohama Area (Japan).
The Innovation Engineer is contributing to the development of new products, in line with planning, process, quality and cost targets.
After initial training in France to become familiar with Faurecia’s new products and technologies, he will work with customers and overseas R&D Center to participate in the development of new products.
The main missions of the role are to:
During initial training period (8 to 10 Weeks) :
Become a specialist in targeted innovation;
- Become familiar with Faurecia’s Products, Processes and
- Technologies to present them to the customers as needed during the innovation co-development phase;
- Build relation network within the company in order to reach a certain level of autonomy and work efficiently in Japan with the local innovation manager.
Work with customer on co-development activities until the innovation is qualified and the product can be used for Project Application phase;
Ensure that designs and targeted innovation complies with customer specifications and regulations;
Complete all assignments according to co-development schedule according to customers’ milestones;
Act as the window between customers and overseas R&D Center and represent in Japan the Engineering teams located overseas to be able to answer to all design enquiries made by customer in Japan;
Assist the Commercial Team in developing Technical
Presentation supporting Innovation Products Proposals
The ideal candidate will have/be :
Bachelor's degree in engineering
Team player with strong communication skills
International mind set
Fluent in English and Japanese communication skills
