Our Faurecia Seating Business Group – Covers & Foam Solutions Division is looking for a VIE Program Buyer m/f for its Site in Talmaciu, Romania.

The main missions of the role are:
The Program Buyer is responsible for managing interface between program and suppliers, anticipating the specific requirements for new programs (supplier technologies, geographical location and target costs), and ensuring the commodity panel strategy is appropriate to support the program. The buyer selects and pilots suppliers from the agreed supplier panel in order to achieve Program objectives. The Program Buyer belongs to the program core team.
The main missions of the role are:
Ensure supplier selection from the agreed supplier panel: identify and consult suppliers, manages supplier RFQ (Request for Quotation) based on panel given by the Commodity Buyers. Manage supplier negotiation with support of the Commodity Buyer and ensure final choice of supplier (leads sourcing committee process to select suppliers from list provided by commodity buyers)
Direct performance Follow-up during the program phase: manage suppliers, compare costs with objectives, ensure quality during the program phase, respect delivery deadlines and in particular ensure that the program phase reviews are supported within the framework of the Faurecia Program Management System (PMS)
Ensure early involvement of the Series Buyers in the program before the series phase
Manage specific mandated suppliers when requested and agreed with customers
Negotiate Engineering Change Requests
The length of the VIE is 12 months.

The ideal candidate will have/be:
Master's degree with a specialization in international purchasing
Experience as trainee/apprentice in automotive industry and/or direct purchasing
Nice to have : Experience abroad
Fluent in English
Good technical skills
Knowledge of supplier cost structure
Good written and oral presentation skills
International mindset
Ability to work in a matrix organization
Results oriented
Good negotiation skills
Nice to have : German speaking
