Your position and environment?
Our Faurecia Automotive Seating Division is looking for you as a VIE FEA (Finite Element Analysis) Engineer for our R&D Center in Auburn Hills, US.
Your role and responsibilities?
The FEA Engineer will be responsible for FEA operations as a design tool on his/her R&D activities. He/she is responsible to deliver robust FEA work packages and deliveries. Based on FEA results analysis, he/she is accountable to deliver a robust design complying with product specifications. The main missions are to:
Define most appropriate & just necessary FEA inputs/outputs requested by analysis & validation
Define and collect all data requested
Execute FEA operations using the validated Faurecia FEA Tools & Methods
Validate and interpret the FEA results, write and validate the FEA reports
Communicate FEA results/analysis to the project team, the customer and suppliers
Follow testing operations in order to correlate FEA/test results, to set up relevant tests/measurements, to optimize efficiency/costs of testing & FEA operations.
Insure usage of capitalization data in the project and traceability of all data and documents
Use FEA tools to optimize part costs (design/process/materials)
Support project team to define and check FEA work done by suppliers
Propose robust design solutions to insure compliance with product spécifications
Deliver synthetic & efficient reporting (KPIs, results, action plans, issues, alert…)
Participate actively and mandatory to key meetings (Innovation/Generics review, DPR, EFM…)
The mission will last 12 months.
Who are you?
Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
Fluent in English
First experience with FEA tools preferably LSDyna and HyperWorks
Strong relationship skills (tenacity, tact and diplomacy)
Commitment to the highest ethical standards and willingness to adhere to Faurecia’s Code of Ethics and Code of Management
