Job description

HCL Fairstaff division is currently looking for a ‘Clinical Systems Developer’ on behalf of our client: a leading national integrated healthcare provider – personally valued, locally relevant and nationally important – based in Bradford City Centre.
The individual should be approachable and competent and must be educated to degree standard or equivalent or with relevant experiential learning recognised qualification in computing or related subject. The ability to work closely and effectively as part of a wider team providing Information services, ensuring a team focused approach with a helpful, friendly and professional manner is essential.
Hours: Full Time – 37.5 Hour Per Week – 09:00 – 17:00
Contract: Temporary 3 Month Assignment
Daily duties will include:
- Provide specialist knowledge enabling successful systems implementation, administration and development in relation to the RiO and SystmOne system, which directly support staff in their delivery of patient care and corporate services.
- Evaluate clinical system change requests considering the impact on existing configuration of the systems
- Contribute to development of clinical information systems to support the implementation and roll out of service improvements to meet the needs of the patients and the organisation.
- Support users in the use of these systems to achieve high quality and value in the clinical information systems.
- Liaise with users to determine requirements and contribute to the planning and implementation of existing and future applications.
- All IM&T services are delivered within an ITIL® Framework, you will work within and support delivery of the service by following:
- ITIL based service management practices
- Service specific key performance Indicators
- Service specific business continuity plans
- Take a proactive approach to ensuring new and existing users know how to use current Information Systems. Advise on potential enhancements to system configuration.
- Actively participate in a programme of continual self-improvement.
- Monitor systems error messaging / alerts as requested and take responsive action either as prescribed by system documentation or by the Clinical Systems Lead.
Essential criteria:
- Educated to degree standard or equivalent or with relevant experiential learning recognised qualification in computing or related subject.
- Significant demonstrable experience of administering or developing patient systems to support the provision of patient care.
- Demonstrable experience of SystmOne and/ or RiO Administration or development or similar patient administration system
- Demonstrable experience of using system administration tools
- Comprehensive knowledge of NHS data definitions and information standards
- Fully committed to providing a customer focused service
- Ability to work in a pressured environment whilst maintaining a high level of diplomacy and patience
- Effective personal organisation and time management skills
