近年、我が国では政府や地方自治体が運営する資産へ民間のノウハウを導入するという方針の下で、空港コンセッション（民間委託）に代表されるように新たな投資マーケットが急速に成長しており、また国内のインフラノウハウの海外事業への活用も本格化しつつあります。こういった中でEYTASのインフラストラクチャー・アドバイザリーチーム（以下「IAチーム」といいます。）は、民間企業に向け、国内外の様々なインフラ事業、コンセッション事業、PPP/PFI（官民連携）プロジェクト等にかかる新規投資・買収あるいは売却に際して、その基礎的調査から投資/買収/売却/入札戦略の策定、ファイナンシャル・モデリング、資金調達支援、及びエグゼキューションまで一貫したアドバイザリーサービスを提供しております。

公共側へのアドバイザリー業務については、その公共性やコンフリクト回避のため同じEYグループであるEY新日本有限責任監査法人が手掛けており、EY新日本有限責任監査法人とEYTASを併せた官民IAサービスにおいて、EYは我が国の4大会計ファームの中では圧倒的なシェアを誇っています。

EYTASのIAチームは2014年2月のチーム設立以来、順調に業容を拡大しております。また、新型コロナウイルスをめぐる現在の状況下においても、マーケットでのインフラ事業に対する投資意欲は旺盛でありますので、私たちと一緒にさらなる成長・業容拡大を担う次世代のスタッフを募集しております。

About the Infrastructure Advisory team

In recent years, the Japanese government and local authorities have adopted the know-how of private companies into their operating assets. It is experiencing fast growth in new investment markets such as those of airport concessions (privatization), and it is also starting to adopt domestic infrastructure know-how into overseas business.  The Infrastructure Advisory team (IA team) provides advisory services in new investments, acquisitions and sales related to both Japanese and foreign infrastructure business, concession business, PPP/PFI projects, ranging from basic research to investment, acquisitions and bidding strategies, as well as financial modeling, capital investment support and execution.

Advisory work for public institutions is handled by Ernst & Young ShinNihon LLC for transparency and conflict avoidance. The public-private IA services both Ernst & Young ShinNihon LLC and EYTAS provide has the biggest market share among the Big 4 accounting firms in Japan.

Since its formation in February 2014, the EYTAS IA team has steadily expanded the scope of its operations. Despite the COVID-19 pandemic, there is a strong appetite for investment in the infrastructure business in the market, and we are recruiting candidates for the next generation of team members to work with us to pursue further growth and business expansion.

Responsibilities

M&A, fund raising support (project financing), feasibility studies, due diligence, financial modeling, valuation and other services related to domestic and overseas infrastructure businesses/asset and PPP/PFI projects (similar to those offered by boutique investment banks and advisory firms specializing in the infrastructure sector)

·  Transportation infrastructure (airports, toll roads and bridges, ports, railways and LRTs, etc.)
·  Renewable energy (offshore wind, water, solar, wood biomass, etc.)
·  Waterworks and sewage work
·  Educational/sports facilities (arenas, stadiums,racetracks, etc.)
·  IR/MICE facilities
·  Duties and services
·  Financial advisory for domestic and overseas airport and toll road concession businesses
·  Financial advisory for domestic renewable (green) energy businesses
·  Support for sales or acquisition of domestic renewable (brown) energy businesses
·  Support for the formation of infrastructure funds
·  Support for foreign companies entering the Japanese infrastructure market (inbound)
·  Support for Japanese companies investing or acquiring foreign infrastructure business (outbound)
·  The following are also provided for the aforementioned duties and services: due diligence, financial modeling, valuation and its coordination

·  コンサルティング会社での業務経験

Requirements and qualifications

Desired skills and experience (Not a must)

One of the following items is acceptable, more than one would be preferable.

·  Project finance lender/borrower or financial advisor
·  Real estate non-recourse loan lender/borrower or financial advisor
·  Experience in asset management at a real estate asset management firm
·  Project investment or project management (monitoring) at a general trading company or general contractors
·  Experience investing in Japanese or foreign energy businesses/assets at an electric or gas companies
·  Development or operation of infrastructure assets such as renewable energy facilities and power stations in Japan or overseas
·  Investment experience or project management (monitoring) for a Japanese or foreign concession business
·  Investment experience, planning experience, or project management (monitoring) for a Japanese or foreign infrastructure business
·  Experience at a consulting firm
·  Certification as a certified public accountant, certified public tax accountant, or project manager
·  Business-level English (Candidates with beginner-level English who have other skills and experience are also welcome)
