Cloud ETL/PL/SQL Developer – Senior

The opportunity

We’re looking for Staff Level Consultants as Cloud ETL/PL/SQL Developer to join the Enterprise Applications group of our GDS consulting Team. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a leading firm whilst being instrumental in the growth of a new service offering.

  Your key responsibilities:

Snowflake cloud data warehouse experience:

·  Well versed with Snowflake concepts like Snowpipe, SnowSQL, Cloud services, Data sharing, Reader accounts, Designing optimal virtual warehouses as per the business SLAs, optimized data distribution, clustering keys, usage of materialized views.
·  Minimum of 6 years of Overall IT experience including experience as Technical lead in Data warehousing technologies including modern cloud data warehousing.
·  2 years of Hands-on experience in Snowflake cloud data warehouse.
·  Experience of designing warehouse and pipelines with Snowflake architecture, Data model.
·  Hands on Experience in PL/SQL and python or JavaScript will be an add-on.
·  Hands on Experience in ELT tools like Informatica, AWS glue or any other parallel ELT tools.
·  Should have at least one end-to-end project of migrating on-prem applications to cloud
Experience of semi-structured (XML, JSON) and unstructured data handling
Experience in designing and estimating ongoing cost of Snowflake architecture
Knowledge of how to implement security features like SSO, column masking, role-based administration.
·  Knowledge of public cloud offerings and cloud technologies by major players such as AWS, GCP, Azure.
·  Good to have SnowPro certification (basic).
·  Translating business needs into technical specifications.
·  Using warehouse data to generate reports to support business decision making and business performance monitoring.
·  Evaluating and improving existing BI systems over enterprise applications like Oracle ERP.
·  Generating and delivering quality reports to customers and performing quality assurance checks on reports. Develop, Customize, Deploy, maintain data visualizations as per client business requirements
·  Should have thorough knowledge in creating dynamic visualizations with multiple concepts.
·  Experience working with clients throughout various parts of implementation lifecycle
·  Proactive with Solution oriented mindset, ready to learn new technologies for Client requirements.

 

BI Reporting/ETL Experience:

·  Expert Level knowledge in Structured Query Language (SQL) and experience working on RDBMS
·  Should have designed and developed stored procedures, queries, ETL Process, views, Data models necessary to support BI Visualizations.
·  Should be able to effectively handle reports performance and administration
·  Knowledge of Informatica/SSRS/SSAS would be a plus.
·  Strong knowledge of ELT/ETL concepts, design and coding.
·  Expertise in data handling to resolve any data issues as per client needs
·  Experience of creating complex SQL queries for retrieving, manipulating, checking and migrating complex datasets in oracle
·  Experience in SQL tuning and optimization using explain plan and SQL trace files
·  Candidate should be eager to learn advance technologies, new product updates etc., learn and train other team members
·  Good verbal and written communication in English, Strong interpersonal, analytical and problem-solving abilities.
·  Experience of interacting with customers in understanding business requirement documents and translating them into BI specifications and High- and Low-level design documents.
·  Excellent analytical skills and communication skills (written, verbal and presentation).
