Tax Advisor, FSO (Tax Technology Services - Tax Technology & Transformation) (Partnership Funds Technology Transformation) (Senior) (Multiple Positions) , Ernst & Young U.S. LLP, New York, NY.
Provide business tax services to drive overall deployment of Partnership Funds Technology and identify opportunities for the use of the technology and enhance delivery of tax services. Perform analysis in tax estimate and compliance under US GAAP and work with EY internal tax compliance teams to build more efficient solutions for their tax filing process utilizing multiple technology applications including VBA, SQL, power query and RPA. Consolidate tax data to make analysis and planning more efficient. Consult financial services organizations in transforming their tax functions and implementing effective solutions to achieve more efficient and sustainable operating models.
Provide technical guidance and share knowledge with team members with diverse skills and backgrounds. Consistently deliver quality client services focusing on more complex, judgmental and/or specialized issues. Demonstrate technical capabilities and professional knowledge. Learn about EY and its service lines and actively assess and present ways to apply knowledge and services.
Full time employment, Monday– Friday,40hours per week, 8:30 am – 5:30 pm
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Management Information Systems, Computer Science or a related field, plus 2 years of work experience in tax process improvement; OR a Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, Management Information Systems, Computer Science or a related field, plus 1 year of work experience in tax process improvement.
Must have 1 year of tax experience with a mid-size/regional to large sized/national public accounting firm delivering tax compliance and reporting including working on compliance engagements.
Must have 1 year of tax experience including core tax accounting/ASC 740 and tax provisions review or preparation working with US GAAP accounting standards.
Must have 1 year of experience developing tax solutions using Microsoft VBA, SQL, PowerBI, Power Query, Robotics Process Automation (RPA), Sharepoint and/or Angular JS
Must have 1 year of experience in Tax Data and Reporting requirements for enterprise financial systems (SAP, Investran, Geneva, Yardi, MRI, Oracle, JD Edwards or similar system).
Must have 1 year of experience working on large, multidisciplinary tax transformations, tax co-sourcing engagements, and tax operating model redesign projects
Requires travel up to 50%, including up to 20% international travel.
