Tax Accountant, Business Tax Services, Private Client Services (Senior)(Multiple Positions ), Ernst & Young U.S. LLP, San Diego, CA.
Provide tailored tax and financial planning advice for private entities, including C-Corps, S-Corps and Partnerships, as well as individuals/families with ultra-high net worth. Work with high growth private companies, including family-owned and private equity-owned businesses, and companies ranging from start-ups to multi-billion dollar global businesses. Balance time between compliance and planning, serving as a trusted advisor. Research tax issues to develop effective tax planning strategies. Translate complex data from a variety of sources into client-ready deliverables. Communicate complex tax issues to non-tax professionals.
Provide technical guidance and share knowledge with team members with diverse skills and backgrounds. Consistently deliver quality client services focusing on more complex, judgmental and/or specialized issues. Demonstrate technical capabilities and professional knowledge. Learn about EY and its service lines and actively assess and present ways to apply knowledge and services.
Full time employment, Monday– Friday,40hours per week, 8:30 am – 5:30 pm
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Tax, Law or a related field and 2 years of work experience in Tax and/or Financial Planning. Alternatively, will accept a Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Tax, Law or related field and 1 year of work experience in Tax and/or Financial Planning.
Must have 1 year of experience in a professional services firm, or mid-sized/regional to large sized/national public accounting firm
Must have 1 year of experience in 3 or more of the following: federal and state personal and trust taxation; flow through entities (S-Corps, Partnerships and LLCs); C-Corps including income tax provisions and consolidated federal and state tax returns; and/or high net-worth tax planning.
Must have 1 year of experience in conducting tax law research.
Must have 1 year of experience in automated tax processing systems, including GoSystems or CCH, Excel, and Checkpoint SurePrep.
Must have 1 year of experience delegating work to junior tax professionals and reviewing their drafts.
