Within TSS sits the Talent Specialist Team (TST). We are a forward thinking, unique incubator of HR skillsets known as an internal Centre of Excellence (CoE) for providing specialist advice and services across Australia and New Zealand in areas of change, project and employee relations strategies. The opportunity
This role provides the opportunity to showcase your proven HR advisory skills, while continuing to develop your business partnering skills and will see you working alongside senior leaders.
You will be a key contributor and trusted adviser of the Firm’s core Talent Specialist (TST) service offering by working closely with the business and HR Business Partners to support strategic HR initiatives, employee relations strategy and other HR related projects. The role requires an agile mindset as you will balance both employee relations case management and ER related projects, whilst being directly aligned to a particular service line for the purpose of supporting HR strategy and cyclical processes. Success in this role will be based on your ability to connect with our people and influence stakeholders by remaining commercially savvy.
Your key responsibilities
· Delivering consistent, high quality, best practice, commercial employee relations advice
· Coaching stakeholders to develop employee relations capability and increase the confidence, effectiveness and accountability of People Leaders
· Delivering project management support and managing workstreams for cyclical processes such as Annual Performance andRemuneration Reviews and Pulse Surveys.
· Aligning with HR Business Partners to provide support on strategic initiatives and talent-related projects
· Effectively managing stakeholders by balancing best practice with commercial outcomes
· Understanding the Oceania Talent Team strategy and in particular how the Talent team supports EY and their business, and in turn how the TST support and contribute to these goals
Skills and attributes for success
· Demonstrating knowledge of employment legislation and principles
· Demonstrating stakeholder management capability by enabling and empowering Counsellors and People Leaders in the effective management of their employees across a range of people matters.
· Supporting and shadowing ER Managers with complex ER cases and cyclical processes, whilst driving consistency across service lines
· Adhering to Service Level Agreements (SLA’s) and providing regular updates to stakeholders
· Working with other necessary Talent teams, including the Talent Consultants, EY Centres of Excellence, Global Delivery Services (GDS) team and the Core HR team to deliver a seamless Talent experience.
· Keeping up-to-date with EY policy, process, industry and employment law changes
· Acting as point of contact for particular HR topics, including completing process reviews and continuous improvement initiatives
· Actively contributing to team culture through maintaining effective virtual teaming and focus on team wellness
· Actively contributes to any change management initiatives that the TST and wider Talent team is undertaking
To qualify for the role you will ideally have
· Graduate or Post Graduate qualifications in Human Resources and/or Business
· Relevant experience working in a similar HR Advisor role
· Solid experience in performance management and employee relations matters autonomously
