The opportunity

As a VME Senior focused on the Health Sciences & Wellness (HS&W) sector, you will be part of a One EY cross-service line team that is passionate about helping our healthcare and life sciences clients build strategic plans, achieve their full potential, and deliver on their mission. You will have the opportunity to develop your career through a broad scope of cross service line engagements, mentoring and formal learning. Your key responsibilities

As a HS&W-focused Senior you are likely to spend your day to day helping providers, payers, technology companies and manufacturers make better decisions on value creation in the ever changing healthcare environment. Depending on a specific client assignment, this may translate into preparing a valuation, a scenario analysis of strategic alternatives, a pricing analysis, or other financial modelling and forecasting. On most engagements, you will be collaborating across our technical competencies with strategy consultants, performance improvement, tax and accounting professionals focused on the HS&W sector. 

Skills and attributes for success

·  Strategic mindset: Regardless of the specifics of a given engagement, you challenge yourself and your team to ask insightful questions and bring a point of view that influences the long-term success of your clients in the ever changing healthcare environment.
·  Business valuation and finance skillset: You have demonstrated technical competency in valuations, corporate finance and financial modelling
·  Sector experience: You are focused on health and life sciences, with prior work experience either in “consulting”, “investment banking”  or “industry.” 

To qualify for the role you must have

·  A bachelor's degree in finance, economics, accounting or business and at least 3 years of related corporate finance, valuation or management consulting work experience; or a graduate degree and at least 2 years of related work experience
·  AT least 2 years of direct valuation experience
·  Financial modelling and scenario analysis
·  Demonstrated record of solving complex problems and completing challenging projects

Ideally, you’ll also have
·  Previous valuation or corporate finance experience in professional services in healthcare or life sciences sctors
·  Achievement of or progress towards a CFA or ASA designation
