Director in EY-Parthenon Analytics Practice
We currently have a career opportunity for a Director specializing in operational analytics to join our advanced analytics and insights team. We are seeking professionals from across all industries that have experience solving business problems at the intersection of operations research and data science in a broad range of analytics disciplines, including:
· Operations decision support and scenario analysis
· Mathematical programming and statistical modeling
· Optimization, Forecasting and Simulation
· Big data integration and homogenization
· Business case development
· Risk assessment & remediation
· Transportation and logistics analytics
· Multi-echelon inventory optimization
· Network modeling and footprint optimization
· Sourcing, spend and procurement analytics
· Discrete event and continuous flow simulation
Responsibilities
· Manage and supervise a team of analytics professionals through all phases of the engagement lifecycle, including requirements definition, design, development, testing and post-delivery support.
· Demonstrate high levels of technical and professional knowledge and quickly assimilate new knowledge.
· Demonstrate quality project execution and delivery by successfully monitoring project/program team economics, performance against the job arrangement and budget.
· Team with client to design and implement solutions. Lead and collaborate to plan engagement objectives and a strategy that addresses client needs. Manage expectations of service delivery; monitor progress, manage risk and ensure key stakeholders are kept informed about progress and expected outcomes. Identify issues and propose both strategies and technical approaches.
· Manage engagements in a rigorous, time sensitive environment and deliver high-quality solutions through the management of cross functional teams and remote resources.
· Develop people by encouraging individuals to think for themselves and take responsibility for their contributions to the team. Provide constructive on-the-job feedback/training. Foster an innovative and team-oriented work environment. Commit to developing knowledge, continue to learn and share knowledge with clients and team members.
· Stay abreast of current business and industry developments relevant to the client's business, and act as a leader in adopting new tools and techniques. Use current technology and tools to enhance the effectiveness of services provided.
Qualifications
· A bachelor's degree and at least 5 years of (or a master's degree and at least 3 years of) experience in using data, programming and mathematical techniques to solve business issues related to supply chain optimization, operations effectiveness, costtransformation, working capital improvements and other types of operational improvements.
· Degree in statistics, mathematics, engineering, computer science, operations research, industrial / systems engineering, business analytics or relateddata science relevant work experience (e.g., Machine Learning, AI)
· Prior experience with one of more advanced data mining tools (e.g. SQL, Hadoop, Alteryx), programing language (e.g. Python, R, Java), visualization application (e.g. Tableau, Spotfire, Power BI), and decision modeling tool (e.g. SC Guru, JDA, SASS, AIMMS, GAMS, Arena)
· Working knowledge of data management, data structures and analytic models
· Client and team management experience.
· Excellent analytical, project management, communication, teamwork and interpersonal skills.
· Experience in strategy, operations research, supply chain, procurement and/or logistics roles a plus.
· PC proficiency including MS Word, Access, PowerPoint, VBA and MS Excel.
· Prior consulting industry experience preferred.
This position requires travel.
